A 25-year-old mother and her two-year-old son, who were found in a trash bin outside their Brockton home Sunday night, died from blows to the head, the Plymouth County District Attorney's office said Tuesday.
Maria Avelina Palaguachi-Cela and her son, Brian Palaguachi, died of blunt force trauma to the brain and head, Plymouth County District Attorney's office spokeswoman Bridget Norton Middleton said Tuesday.
Their bodies were recovered Sunday night from a large trash bin outside their home at 437 Warren Ave. Police continue to search for their killer. Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz said authorities do not believe the attack was random.
